AMD Unveils Venice EPYC 9006 – 2nm, 256 Cores, Outperforms Intel and NVIDIA in AI‑Era Server Benchmarks

AMD has published a technical whitepaper for its EPYC 9006 "Venice" server processors, revealing the first official benchmark results. Built on TSMC's 2nm process with Zen 6 and Zen 6c cores, the lineup scales up to 256 cores / 512 threads, targeting AI‑first data center upgrades. It supports 16‑channel DDR5 with 12800 MT/s MRDIMM and standard 8000 MT/s RDIMM.

Using the new SPEC CPU 2026 suite, AMD reported:
